Natural Resource Damage Assessment and Restoration (NRDAR)
The purpose of the Natural Resources Damage Assessment & Restoration (NRDAR) process is to restore natural resources injured as a result of oil spills or hazardous substance releases into the environment. In partnership with affected State and Federal agencies (the Trustees), the Trustees will conduct a damage assessment for the Anacostia River that provides the basis for determining the restoration needed to compensate for the public’s loss of natural resources. Trustees seek to integrate remediation and restoration projects whenever possible.
